Enterise Asset Management

May - August 2018 • Melbourne, FL

What I liked

Great team, great exposure, and LEARNING

What I wish was different

To be longer internship

Advice

Don't be scared of what will be on the other side of the door because you have others that want to help, since you in their team! And definitely research things briefly. It doesn't have to be an hour or hours of research but you have at least knowledge to help understand terms that'll be thrown at you, then it'll be explained much more than you'd expect.

Systems Engineering Intern

May - August 2019 • Camden, NJ

What I liked

Everyone was super friendly and supportive. Coworkers would make sure to include me in their meetings and projects. I felt like I actually did work that helped the projects and I learned a lot from the experience.

What I wish was different

I wish it was located in a different area. I never felt unsafe but some of the neighboring streets to the facility are very run down.

Advice

Ask as many questions as you can and offer assistance in any way possible.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

May - August 2018 • Ashburn, VA

What I liked

I liked the size of the company and the people I worked with. Everyone was friendly, and the work was diverse, allowing me to experience several different parts of mechanical design.

What I wish was different

I was not fond of the area or the intern program itself. Virginia in the summer is far too hot, and all the other interns were from the area so they did not want to explore. This company was a military contractor exclusively, so everything was way too secretive.

EHS Engineer

July - August 2018 • Salt Lake City, UT

What I liked

I loved the opportunity to gain experience in the environmental, health, and safety field in a "real-world" situation. I gained exposure to 3 new software databases, expanded my knowledge of environmental policy, and discovered the inner mechanisms of a business world.

What I wish was different

Although I did learn a lot from my internship, I spent a lot of my time doing classic intern work where I was uploading documents to a new database. I understand that it was my position and I am grateful for everything that I gained from this experience, but it did lack a certain level of mental stimulation at times.

Computer Systems Software Engineer

June - August 2019 • Palm Bay, FL

What I liked

The environment of the company and how welcoming. My segment dealt with the infrastructure of the company so there was no client deadline to meet, but your own personal deadlines.

What I wish was different

I wish It could’ve been longer and I could’ve dealt with a customer project to get the feel of being under more pressure.

Advice

Take full advantage of all aspects of the opportunity. Meaning, go out to the intern events to learn more about the company different segments, talk to other interns and full time employees, and most importantly ask questions. The time as an intern is a step towards full-time so you want to make your best impression during the time you’re there.
