Intern, Global Human Resources (NEW)

The HR Intern will provide administrative support to our Global HR team and manage some fundamental HR tasks. This position collaborates with the Global HR Generalist on content management of HR’s internal portal (SharePoint), provides support in the various areas within HR such as HRIS, Learning & Development and Performance Management, and other administrative tasks.

The HR Intern provides top-notch customer services for our IREX employees as well as our external customers. This person must be detail oriented and must have the ability to multi-task. This position is key to assisting in the success of the HR team and will focus on providing administrative and coordinating support to key HR functions.

The duration of this internship will be 6 months.

Your Background & Skills 
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment as part of a team along with the ability to work well independently and proactively.
  • Some experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle confidential information tactfully required.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidential data required.
  • Fluency in Arabic, French, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, or another language is a plus.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and targets, and deliver effective results.
  • Strong and demonstrated abilities in research and problem solving required.
  • Must have high attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills that has demonstrated a sense of responsibility and sensitivity in dealing with diverse international staff.
  • You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Your Daily Tasks 
  • Provides excellent administrative support to the Global HR team with tasks such as meeting coordination & logistics, data management, audits, and calendar support.
  • Provides communications support to the Global HR team. This includes editing and/or producing a variety of communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Maintains the personnel filing system and ensures an organized and easily retrievable system for the maintenance of all IREX employee records through SharePoint and the HRIS.
  • Assists in auditing and reconciling employee information in the HRIS and employee files to ensure data integrity.
  • Tracking Professional Development and Tuition Reimbursement requests.
  • Assists in maintaining the relevant Global HR page on the IREX internal portals (SharePoint and Yammer) in a timely manner and ensures that information is easily accessible.
  • Other duties as assigned
