Marketing Assistant

As a member of the administrative staff, the Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting in marketing duties. These include proposal preparation, maintenance of the CRM system database, projects and staff photography, preparation of general marketing materials, and coordination with clients and subconsultants in addition to other general office duties as assigned. The position is responsible for maintaining good and responsive client relationships on a firm wide basis.

Essential Functions:

(a) Utilize Microsoft Office products, Adobe InDesign, Deltek, and other industry software.
(b) Populate and maintain relevant data into our CRM (Deltek) system.
(c)  Assist with proposal development including formatting, design, production and filing.
(d) Assist in developing, editing and writing marketing materials.
(e) Execute photo shoots with client projects and employees.
(f) Create monthly email blasts geared towards specific clients and/or market sectors.
(g) Assist with website initiatives such as news story cultivation.
(h) Assist with developing and maintaining the firm’s digital presence with emphasis on social media and news/publication outlets.

Education and Experience:

(a) Required -
(i)   Associates Degree in business from College or University program.

(b) Preferred -
(i)   Four-year Degree in Business from a College or University program.
(ii)  Hands-on experience in the Marketing field.

Work Environment - Most work is performed in an office environment. Regular trips to a variety of locations for meetings and observations are also required.

Expected Hours - This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week. A 7AM to 9AM start time will be negotiated with your supervisor. Schedule will be coordinated with the normal Monday through Friday, 9AM to 3PM core hours. An unpaid lunch hour beginning at 11:45AM is available. Requires adjusting schedule to suit clients and working overtime as necessary to satisfactorily meet project schedules.
 
Physical Demands - This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. It also requires the use of basic motor, oral, and visual skills, such as the ability to walk, use hands, talk, hear, and the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, and to adjust focus. It requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry materials weighing up to 25 lbs.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance - This position requires the ability to pass a background check and obtain clearance for client and government contracts. Must be approved for working in the United States.
