Executive Assistant and Office Operations Assistant

The Network’s Mission:

The Network is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission to defeat human trafficking networks and ultimately prevent vulnerable individuals from being exploited. We use skills honed in counterterrorism, law enforcement, the intelligence community, public policy and communications to disrupt traffickers’ business models.

The Network is hiring a full time executive assistant dual hatted as an office operations assistant. This critical teammate will play a key role in supporting our mission by managing a variety of administrative and logistical tasks to ensure optimized use of our CEO’s time and smooth office operations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, organized, collaborative, and direct. And perhaps most importantly, s/he is someone who enjoys every day looking a bit different from the day before. This position works directly with the CEO and the CAO in a close-knit team environment, but is also capable of operating independently.

THE ROLE:
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO CEO
Calendar/Communications Management
  • Perform a variety of tasks all with the goal of optimizing the use of the CEO’s time
  • Copy-write material and communicate professionally and expertly on behalf of the CEO to internal and external stakeholders 
Administrative tasks
  • Manage expenses and supplies for CEO
  • As time allows, cross-train as an HR Generalist for redundancy in the Admin Department
Event Planning/Project Management
  • Support planning and execution of special projects, including the intern program and logistical support to organizational events like quarterly Team Week, Board meetings, in-office lunches, etc.
  • Other event planning as assigned by CEO
OFFICE OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Office Support
  • Serve as main liaison between vendors, property management, and the internal organization.
  • Manage all company mail, supplies (office, kitchen, technology), and inventories of company owned equipment.
  • Responsible for the upkeep, operational capability, and scheduling of the office facilities. 
Other tasks as needed by the CEO or CAO in support of CEO’s role and/or office operations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • This is an entry level position. It requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
  • You must be willing to undergo The Network’s standard professional background check.
  • This is a hybrid position and requires work on-site at The Network’s office in Arlington, VA three days a week.
