CNN Product Design Intern - Spring 2023

The Job:

The CNN Core Product Design team would very much welcome the opportunity to have an intern join us for the Spring ’23 season.
 
This role would be highly involved in the discovery and execution of the Foundations work, including homepage, landing pages, and leaf pages as they continue to migrate to our new content publishing system. Areas that this role could get a deeper exposure would be around research, interviews, competitive/heuristic/data analysis, concept development, prototyping, visual design, and delivery processes. This role would also be collaborating heavily with our Design System team.
Responsibilities

The Daily Responsibilities:
 
The role would report to the Senior Manager, Product Design, and work closely with our cross functional partners on our migration to the Stellar platform to:
  • Help drive the research and discovery process
  • Assist with interview script preparation, observe, analyze, and synthesize interview feedback
  • Work with team to design concepts, prototypes, and visuals for numerous work streams
  • Facilitate process between product and design system teams
  • Participate in both product team Agile meetings and design team reviews
 
Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Figma, Miro, Design Systems
 
The Essentials:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (18 years or older)
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
 
About the Internship Program:

  • Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
  • Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
  • Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
