Summer Analyst (Undergraduate and Graduate Student Internship – Summer 2023)

Summit Consulting, LLC provides state-of-the-art data analytics to support public policy decision-making and litigation. Apply to this position if you:
  • Have a GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Plan to complete your undergraduate or graduate degree in a field such as economics, finance, statistics, or applied mathematics before January 2025.
  • Use, or have an interest in using, R, Stata, Python, or SAS to analyze data
  • Use, or have an interest in using, VBA and macros
  • Proficiently use Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Can ably assist our consultants with report writing and PowerPoint presentations
  • Love working closely with others in a team environment
  • Are a U.S. citizen (our work with Federal clients limits our hiring to U.S. citizens only)

While Summit staff can work remotely and/or at our Washington DC location, our interns should expect a hybrid schedule.
Highlights of Summit's Internship Program:
  • 10-week experience in the Summer of 2023 (Anticipated to start Tuesday, June 6th and run until Friday, August 11th)

  • Our office is near the U.S. Capitol and the Union Station metro/VRE/MARC stop. This means that you can easily access our offices using public transportation.
Internship Interview Process:
  1. First Round: A member of Summit's Recruitment team will contact you for an initial phone screen. Here we'll learn a little more about you and why you're interested in Summit's internship program.
  2. Second Round: A team member will contact you to discuss your experience and how you may work with Summit's team.
  3. Offer: If selected, we'll provide an offer to join us next summer. Please be prepared to submit to a background check.
 
All interns are required to adhere to Summit's vaccination policy. New interns must provide proof of full vaccination prior to their first day of employment.
