Staff Accountant
Local Alexandria CPA firm seeks staff accountant, preferably with 1-3 years’ experience but will consider entry-level for the right candidate. Duties include financial statement preparation, payroll tax compliance, business tax compliance, business and individual tax return preparation, tax planning, research, and management advisory services. This is a permanent position with growth potential.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
Accounting degree or equivalent
CPA or eligible
1-3 years’ experience, preferably in a CPA firm environment
Will consider entry-level
Fast learner with the ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and writing skills
Good foundation in basic accounting principles
Excellent research skills
Microsoft Office experience
UltraTax experience (or similar tax package)
QuickBooks experience
Experience with general ledger software
