Corporate Advocacy Program Manager

The Corporate Program Manager will work with Corporate Advocacy to ensure mainstream corporations are not facilitating or enabling sexual exploitation and abuse through their policies, practices, or products. We do this through direct advocacy with business executives, providing expertise and education to corporations and policymakers, and leading public campaigns. The Program Manager’s primary role will be to manage the department’s public campaigns to engage the general public, inspiring them to take action to push for corporate changes and transforming them into committed supporters. The incumbent of this position will also play a critical role in crafting overall corporate advocacy strategy, identifying long and short-term goals, drafting compelling messaging, engaging new and existing allies, and collaborating with other departments to more effectively and efficiently advance NCOSE’s collective vision, mission, and goals.
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage corporate campaigns
  • Oversee 3-4 corporate campaigns/year (in addition to annual Dirty Dozen List); includes strategizing with director on goals and timelines, identifying and collaborating with ally organizations, creating content, and overseeing communications strategy; Campaigns would be determined by NCOSE’s overall objectives and corporate advocacy goals
  • Manage the annual Dirty Dozen List: includes conducting research, drafting content, overseeing project management, and coordinating with different departments, managing public engagement at launch and throughout the year (through Engage), etc.
  • Identify existing and new allies (including in parallel fields) to include in NCOSE corp. campaigns or that NCOSE can join and/or elevate
  • Conduct and compile research as needed to craft evidence and data-based cases against targets includes literature review, capturing (non-sexually explicit) proof, aggregating news stories, and obtaining personal testimony
  • Develop a cadence of constant communication with supporters: thanking them, directing them to targeted actions, updating them with news related to targets/industries, etc.
 
 Oversee corporate adv. communications
  • Together with Director and Communications Team, develop and oversee corporate advocacy communications strategy to augment and drive the department’s, as well as NCOSE’s, priorities and goals
  • Draft, test, and disseminate compelling messaging and identify the most strategic dissemination methods for various audiences: videos, graphics, social media, etc.
  • Consult on website structure and draft content for website; regularly update website with new information, policy changes, victories, etc.
  • Develop a calendar for blogs that corresponds with campaigns, national month themes (e.g., June Internet safety awareness), and other NCOSE initiatives
  • Write 2 blogs/month on corporate targets, related issues, and breaking news
 
Administrative
  • Assist Director in creating presentations for various audiences
  • Develop talking points on specific corp. targets for Director, leadership, colleagues, and allies for media, policy meetings, corp. adv. meetings etc.
  • Draft monthly report, including collecting and analyzing engagement data
  • Manage Egnyte folders for maximum clarity and efficiency
  • Assist with bi-annual donor calls
  • Ad hoc requests as assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Passionate about opposing sexual exploitation, as well as a passion for NCOSE’s mission, vision, and values
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Advocacy
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Must possess high levels of initiative, creativity, work ethic, and good judgment.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented work ethic.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and knowledge of the web and digital marketing techniques
  • Experience conducting research and synthesizing information
 
COMPENSATION:
Salary commensurate with experience: Annual Salary up to $70,000
