Development and Program Intern



Organization Overview 

The Ocean Foundation (501(c)3) is a unique international community foundation with a mission to support, strengthen, and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world. Our geographic community is the 71% of the earth’s surface covered by the ocean. Our human community includes the donors, governments, sponsored projects and grantees that are engaged in ocean conservation anywhere in the world. 

Position Overview 

Do you love the ocean? Are you ready to be part of a team dedicated to preserving ocean environments around the world? The Ocean Foundation, through its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative, is looking for a Development and Program (D&P) Intern who is passionate about protecting the ocean and has an interest in working with a non-profit. This internship is expected to take place this summer 2018, beginning as soon as May 14, 2018 through August 15th 2018 (start and end dates may be flexible). The key responsibilities will be to work with the Development and Program teams, on projects related to database management, content research, written-content production, and strategic project planning. In this position the intern will be assigned an internal and an external mentor who will provide professional development support during the D&P intern’s tenure at The Ocean Foundation.
