Game Design/Development Instructor

Game Design Instructor Job Description

TAG is seeking highly motivated self-starters to teach a Game Design course. The position is part time in the evenings from 4pm -6pm 1 night per week.

Candidate must possess:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • A desire make a difference and enrich kids’ lives by teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) curriculums with a focus in technology.

  • Experience playing video games.

  • A strong desire to learn new skills across many disciplines.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple students at a time and work without supervision.

  • Transportation a plus but not required.

  • Comfortable with computers.


Technical Skills:

  • A background in Game Design

  • Knowledge of programming as it relates to Game Design/Development

  • Experience with project based learning

  • Experience with one or more of the following Gaming Platforms a plus:
                Kodu Game Labs, Scratch, Game Salad, Game Maker, Unity 3D,

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop a plus
