Research Intern

“It was organized very well around intern development. There were classes available to take, different trainings we got to do, and a good number of conferences in the DC area that we had the option to attend. In general, I think my supervisor, and the other scientists that I worked with, were great, and very open to talking not just about our project but also more generally about what their career path was like, and about my goals and interests. The work itself was interesting, and I was given a good amount of freedom to self-define what I wanted to do. Also, other people at the Consortium were very available to talk even if I wasn't on their project, which made it easier to get a wider range of experiences. ”
